Funeral costs can vary considerably depending on the choices made and the individual
requirements of each service. The costs outlined above are provided as a guide only and
may be subject to change. Some services involve third-party providers, including after-hours
transfers (between 4.30pm and 8.00am), livestreaming at churches and venues, booklets
and slideshows, celebrants and clergy, catering, embalming and floral arrangements.
At Anton Brown Funerals, we believe in complete transparency. We provide a detailed
breakdown of costs so you can make informed decisions and avoid unexpected or hidden
charges. There is never any pressure to select services or items you do not require. Our goal
is to help you create a meaningful and respectful funeral that reflects your wishes and
remains within your family’s budget.
We also understand the importance of continuity and personalised support. From the initial
arrangements through to the funeral service, the same Funeral Director will guide and
support you wherever possible. This ensures you have a familiar and trusted person
throughout the process who understands your family’s wishes and arrangements.

  • Transport of the body from place of death to Funeral Home within business hours
    ($350.00)
  • Transport of body from funeral home to service/crematorium/Cemetery/Church

  • Care and Preparation of body prior to service which includes View of Body if
    applicable ($950.00)
  • Arrangement and conduct of funeral service ($850.00)
  • Staff Wages, Superannuation, Penalty Rates, Insurance ($1,045.00)
  • Vehicle Maintenance for Purpose Built- Funeral Vehicles, Including Petrol ($600.00)

*Cremation Permit – Independent doctor issues certificate for Permission to Cremate

*Death Certificate – An official death certificate shows the full details of the death record
and is a recognised identity document that informs government agencies and financial
institutions that a person has passed away. The Death Registration Form is submitted on the
Day of the Funeral, and the QLD Government will then issue this and post out to address on
the Death Registration Form. (Usually within 10 Business Days)

*BCC – Brisbane City Cemeteries (See table Below)

*Invocare – Albany Creek, Mt Thompson, Allambe, Great Southern (See Table Below)

*Cremation – prices can differ depending on what crematorium you choose as each
crematorium has a different price list

*Burials – Prices can differ between which Cemetery you choose. This also depends on if you
require a new grave or a re-open grave.

*Clergy/Celebrants prices may differ depending on which Clergy/Celebrant you choose.

*Floral Tribute are based on a standard Casket Spray. You can do smaller or larger of your
liking.

*Newspaper Notices are based on Standard. You do not have to have a newspaper notice if
you do not want one. The more words/lines you have in the newspaper, the more expensive
it will be.

*Coffins – We base our service off a Teak Coffin. We have plenty to choose from if you wish
to go with another Coffin of your choice.

*Funerals on weekends and Public Holidays will be charged additional fees

*Order of Service Booklets/Slideshows are also extras which some families like to add

*Catering is available at most Crematoriums and Cemeteries.

Disclosures

Our mortuary is located at our Woolloongabba Office at 57 Balaclava Street. This Facility is operated by Anton Brown Funerals Pty Ltd.

The transport of the body prior to burial or cremation will be in a suitable vehicle owned by Anton Brown Funerals. The Body will be kept in our mortuary and will only be transported for the purposed of the Funeral Service as per the final agreement.

CODE OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT

  • Funeral Directors shall provide funeral services to families without regard to religion, race, colour, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or cause of death.
  • Funeral Directors shall comply with all applicable Federal or State Laws or regulations relating to the prearrangement and prepayment of funeral services or merchandise.
  • Funeral Directors shall understand and comply with all applicable Federal and/or State legislation regarding the legal right to enact funerals and the release of deceased.
  • Funeral Directors shall not sell any funeral merchandise that has previously been sold.
  • Funeral Directors shall not rent any coffin or casket without consent of the client.
  • Funeral Directors shall protect confidential information pertaining to the deceased or the family of the deceased from disclosure.
  • Funeral Directors shall carry out all aspects of the funeral service in a competent and respectful manner.
  • Funeral Directors shall properly account for and remit any monies, documents, or personal property that belongs to others that comes into the Funeral Directors possession.
  • Funeral Directors shall not engage in any unprofessional conduct of a character likely to deceive, defraud or harm the families they serve in the course of providing professional services.
