Meet Funeral Director – Warrick McCorkell
More than 20-years-ago, Warrick McCorkell, would listen to his siblings’ stories around the dinner table and the more one spoke about their line of work, the more he wanted to learn.
My pursuit of a career in funerals is thanks to one of my brothers, who had been a Funeral Director with another company for several years. The stories he would relay around the dining table, stimulated my interest in the funeral industry.
Warrick joined the Anton Brown Funerals team in 2002, and over the years he has helped put together memorable and meaningful farewells for countless Brisbane families.
Being a small family business, means I am involved in all aspects of funeral service, which includes arranging funerals, transferring of the deceased, mortuary work and funeral attendance.
About Warrick McCorkell
Warrick was born in Bundaberg and moved to Brisbane when he was 18-years-old.
He was married in 2001 and has two children, aged 19 and 16, with his wife Lyndall.
Outside of work, Warrick enjoys the study of Natural History, with particular interest in birds and mammals.
